He is the CEO of Graph Group, an investment firm committed to building value for their partners, investors, and companies. Philipson oversees all of Graph Group’s operations, nationwide.
Graph Group specializes in a variety of different markets. They issue debt solutions to borrowers, including short-term lending structures like preferred equity, mezzanine, and senior position. Their next market covers real estate investing, where they hold investments in assets across the multi-family, industrial, and healthcare real estate sectors. Additionally, Graph Group also holds long-term investments within the healthcare space with a focus on skilled nursing facilities, home health care, mental health clinics, and urgent care centers.
Under the Graph Group umbrella is Graph Insurance, a leading provider for workers compensation and general and professional liability insurance. Avi Philipson created Graph Insurance in response to an underserved market. Philipson and his team want to help others through difficult positions that they’ve experienced first-hand by developing affordable, customized insurance policies and packages. Their claims management team also works hard to help companies prevent claims and mitigate potential loss.
Previously, Avi Philipson served as the Head of Operations at Axis Health, a leading consulting company trusted by skilled nursing facilities across Maryland and New Hampshire. In his role, Philipson guided nursing and rehabilitation centers to mitigate risk, implement technological innovations, and provide compassionate care to both short-term and long-term residents.
Philipson held ownership interest at Cold Spring Hills Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation (New York), and consulted on operations at Phoenix Center Rehabilitation and Pediatrics (New Jersey). While his focus was supervising the corporate teams and healthcare administrators across these care centers, Philipson was also responsible for providing counsel on their operations, risk management, marketing, and renovations. Avi Philipson was pivotal in overseeing facility-wide renovations at Phoenix Center Rehabilitation and Pediatrics, which included improvements to resident rooms and public spaces to comply with strict quality control measures. Philipson’s attention to detail and his passion for patient care ensured that each facility pushed the boundaries of what’s possible within the healthcare industry so residents could live their lives to their fullest.
Avi Philipson’s focus on risk mitigation and innovation throughout his career has brought valuable insight to a range of industries and has led to the development of some of the most highly-regarded companies up and down the east coast.
In addition to serving his community through Axis Health, Avi Philipson also supports a number of charitable organizations, including The Simchas Mayer Fund, which Avi co-founded in memory of long-time friend Mayer Weiss. This organization supports engaged Chosson and Kallah couples, giving them everything they need so they can have their dream wedding day with dignity and joy. For this charity and others, Philipson has spearheaded fundraising campaigns that have raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for those who need it most.
